Gravista

The race will start with a neutral roll through the flood wall trail in Buena Vista. The route will take riders up Robinson Gap, a 4.3 mile gravel road that crests the ridge. Riders will pass under the Blue Ridge Parkway through a tunnel down the backside of Robinson Gap. The route passes the Lynchburg Reservoir and takes riders on a rolling section of gravel to the base of the next climb. Wiggins Spring to Alhambra is the long and steeped climb starting at mile 25. Riders will pass the Appalachian Trail and descend down through downtown Coffeetown to the base of Forest Service road 76. A favorite of the locals, 76 is a 3.4 mile climb averaging 4.9%. Riders will again crest the ridge and take a quick pedal on pavement, only to return to the last never ending climb. Panther falls is a mixed surface climb that will have make you happy the last 6 miles are all downhill!
